You've decorated the room to the fullest extent you can imagine, yet you're not done. Finding the final piece of the puzzle can be a long and tiring process (if you're the type of person who demands everything to be perfect!). I often find myself doing it redesigning rooms, only to get lost on how to finish it off in a perfect way. Most of the time, it's just one simple thing to make it better. Today I have some ideas on how to finish off a room that isn't finished.

If you are unsure, add some black This is my favorite. I always do it! Always include a black object such as a pot or a candle, or a vase. Even a chair in black. Recently I added an black coffee table in my living space because I was never happy with the lighter shade. It always seemed to flounder. Black instantly took over the space and it was grounded.

Add wall panelling or paint on a blank wall to give a more textured and dimensional look. Wallpaper is a great option as well.

One bunch of flowers - or a vase that has cut flowers from the garden. This is a simple way to beautify a console. Add some greenery in a clear vase and you'll have a fresh look on your table.

Tall plant to fill the corners - if have a black thumb then make it look like. Greenery is always a good idea. If it's still too short, place it on a table to make it taller.

Get a big rug that is not smaller than what you can be enough! The bigger, the better and it will always top off the room.

Make sure to add a mirror. If you don't know what art to choose, then don't. You can simply grab one. It also makes the room appear more spacious and glam. Round is good.

Different sizes of throw cushions - don't buy all rectangles, or all square. Mix them up on your sofa. Include a round cushion as well. If you're struggling with how to place your cushion, direct your thoughts to shapes and it will all come together, I promise!

If the lamp looks nice Why not add another (put them on each end). It can balance out a sideboard especially in the event that it's very long and you don't know what else you could add.

Add odd numbers - three or five is fine. For a console, you can use different heights. Put a mirror on them and you'll be awestruck by the final result.

Let one piece of furniture flounder in the room. Pull the chair forward, then add an ottoman, but don't force everything against the wall.

If the artwork is too small. It doesn't have to be identical so consider adding more than one piece. Odd numbers work best. See some gallery wall ideas. It's actually the most effective (and affordable) method to fill your walls.
